Truck type

Car:
Car routing.

Bus: Bus routing.

Light Truck: Pickups and lighter trucks.

Truck: Single truck without trailers.

Truck Semi: Truck with one semi-trailer

Truck Trailer: Truck with one single trailer

Truck Double: Truck with two trailers

Truck Triple: Truck with three or more trailers

* Car and Bus vehicle types won´t take under consideration truck-restrictions
  such as  hazmats, size, weight, speed, etc.

Axle count

Total number of axles including trailers.

Hazmat load

Type of hazardous material being transported.

Fixed costs

Operating cost.
Cost per mile and cost per hour.

Height

Length

Width

Total height, length and width of the vehicle including trailers.

TruckRouter will help you avoid low-clearance and size-restricted maneuvers under Federal
and State limits. 
TruckRouter is not suitable for over-size loads routing.

Weight

Total weight of the vehicle including trailers and load.

Fuel

Fuel type: diesel, gasoline or electric.

MPG

Fuel performance in miles per gallon.

$ / G

Cost per gallon of fuel.

Max Speed

Select the maximum speed allowed for the selected vehicle

Avoid toll roads

Avoids toll roads in your route.
Note that certain toll structures such as bridges and tunnels may still be present in your route.

Avoid ferries

Avoid water and train ferries in your route.

Avoid tunnels

Avoid all tunnels in your route.

Avoid dirt roads

Avoid all dirt and unpaved roads.

Avoid sharp turns

For truck routing, will avoid sharp turns and sharp maneuvers in urban areas.

Re-order stops

For stops 1 - 5
If you have included intermediate stops in your route, this option will enable TruckRouter to resequence the order of all stops to optimize for travel time and distance.

If you want to visit each stop in an specific order, you should not enable this option.

Consider traffic conditions

Optimize route based on historical traffic data.

Apply seasonal closures

Some roads may be closed during some parts of the year.
This feature will take under account this.

Depart date

Departure date of your trip.

Departure time

Departure time of your trip. Time conditional road restrictions will be applied.

Route type

Fastest: TruckRouter will find the fastest route regardless of traveled distance.

Shortest: TruckRouter will find the shortest route regardless of travel time.

Route starting location.

You may enter up to 5 intermediate stops. (optional)
Once you have entered a stop, you can then select the stop-duration in the dropdown menu next to each stop.

To delete a stop, just clear the stop text box or click on the X next to each stop.

Use the arows next to each stop to move it up and down in the itinerary order.

End

Route ending location.

Search options

You can enter your trip´s waypoints (from, stops, to) in three different ways:

- Type an specific address and press enter.
- Type just the city name and press enter.
- Right click on the map.

Vehicle
Trip waypoints

General information of the selected vehicle for the route.
Sequence in which the route was calculated.

Results

Dist: Total distance of your route.

Time: Total time of your route. (Including stops' durations)

Stops: Total time that your truck remained stopped in all stops.

Driving: Total time that your truck spent on the road.

Costs

Tolls: Total toll costs in USD.

Fuel: Cost of fuel.

Fixed: Operating cost based on cost per mile and cost per hour.

Total: Your total route cost.


Les itinerary

Route stops: Start, stops and ending location´s names of your route.

Stop Duration: Time stopped in each stop.

Trip Hours: Total route time in hours:minutes up to that stop.

Trip Miles: Total route distance up to that stop.

Leg Hours: Time in hours:minutes from last stop to current stop, including current stop duration.

Leg Miles: Distance from last stop to current stop.

Time Stamp: Arrival date and time to stop. (Always given in time zone of the departure location)

Trip settings

A summary of all the trip settings and preferences entered for this route.

Directions

Step by step driving directions.


Trip Hours: Total route time in hours:minutes up to that point.

Trip Miles: Total route distance up to that point.

State mileage

Detailed state mileage report.
Total miles, toll-miles, free-miles and fuel burn for each state.

* You can print or download an Excel file for this report.

Below this report you´ll find an estimated total mileage per road type.

Toll Roads

List of toll roads in your trip.
This feature is still in Beta version.

Warnings

List of warnings you may have to pay attention to during your route.

Such warnings include:

- Truck restrictions that could not be avoided.
- Road incidents.
- Unpaved roads.
- Etc.

Elevation


Elevation report for your route.
Altitude: Feet        
Distance: Miles.
Click on the graph to see the map location.

Truck Stops

Find truck stops and rest areas along your route.

Name: Type of truck stop. Click on Name to see a close up satellite image of the location.

Location: Exit number and pone number.

Services: Services availble at the truck stop. Hover mouse over each image for more info.

Trip Miles: Mileage from trip departure.

Full report

Print or export to PDF a full report of your route.
Save or share the document for future reference.

XML report

Use this report to export trip data from TruckRouter and import it to your own system.

Use the top-right side bar to reset your trip, full zoom, zoom to route and find addresses on the map.

Use these butons to change the map-view.

Right-click on the map to set your trip waypoints manually.
